Sometimes it just takes a little move by a coach to inspire a season of great play, and Mack Brown is very familiar with that aspect of sports. Mack may not inspire a full season of good play, but is empowering his team to vote on if they want to wear the below throwback helmets for the rest of the year or not. The helmets are being worn this Saturday by Texas to pay tribute to the 50th anniversary of its 1963 national title-winning team and head coach Darrell Royal who passed away in November of last year. I say keep ’em!
Mack Brown: Helmet part of Texas' plan to honor '63 title team Saturday. He'll let players vote on wearing it rest of season.
