Roy Williams’ North Carolina team was never considered heavy national title contenders this season but the very talented and athletic group definitely proved they can play with just about anyone, including No. 1 seed Wisconsin. The Tar Heels appeared headed toward a potential Sweet 16 upset when they led the Badgers by seven points in the second half on Thursday night but ultimately fell victim to a phenomenal Wisconsin team.
Following the season-ending loss, Williams gave one of the best press conference sessions you will ever see. His brief chat, one that provoked some emotion, on the player-coach bond is tremendous.
