Taylor Swift and Donald Trump Taylor Swift and Donald Trump

Taylor Swift may have publicly backed Kamala Harris over Donald Trump in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election, but one prominent media figure is suggesting she should perform at Trump’s inauguration.

Over the past several years, Taylor Swift has emerged as one of the most famous individuals on the planet, and that fame only reached new heights this year after she began dating Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce, opening her up to even more fans.

As a result of her fame, Swift’s political endorsement was highly coveted by both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

In September, Taylor Swift publicly endorsed Harris in the election to counter AI-generated rumors suggesting she supported Trump.

Trump appeared to respond strongly to Swift’s endorsement of Harris.

A few days later, he posted on Truth Social, writing, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” in all caps.

Obviously, Trump won the election over Harris and will officially take office next month.

On her Thursday show, Fox News host Laura Ingraham recommended that Taylor Swift perform at Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration to make amends for endorsing Kamala Harris.

“The Angle does have some advice for her: call Trump and offer to perform at the inauguration. It would be smart for Taylor Swift and another great moment of unity for the country,” Ingraham said during the broadcast.

Unsurprisingly, the idea of Swift performing at Trump’s inauguration sparked a variety of reactions on social media.

“Swift does not need advice from Ingraham, especially about her career moves,” one person wrote on X.

“Why would that be smart for her?” another person questioned.

“‘Unity’?! Laura Ingraham is the last person who should be talking about unity. No A-list names are going to perform at the premiere of the second season of The Apprentice White House Edition,” another user commented.

“Taylor already has a million better ways to spend her time,” one person remarked.

“After all the billions #TaylorSwift made off her Eras tour, why would she tarnish/sully her brand with such an association? Would be a terrible move on her part,” another X user said.

“There are reasons why Laura Ingraham’s show is the lowest-rated across all networks,” one more person added.

While the idea seems unlikely, we’ll have to wait and see how it unfolds.
