Texas at Notre Dame
Saturday, September 5th
Neither Texas or Notre Dame is expected to be legit contenders for the College Football Playoff but that doesn’t mean this isn’t a enormous game for both teams. The Longhorns will travel to South Bend for the time in two decades as second-year man Charlie Strong seeks to capitalize on an adequately successful 6-7 season a year ago. As for the Irish, this is more of a can’t-lose game than must-win, with Brian Kelly looking to brush off a frustrating 2014 season.
