39. Franklin Gutierrez, Outfielder
Status: Re-signed by the Seattle Mariners to a one-year deal worth $1 million plus incentives
Gutierrez was once a promising young player who was a main piece of the December 2008 3-way trade between the Indians, Mariners and Mets for J.J. Putz. Gutierrez had a career year following the trade when he hit .283 and clubbed 18 homers and followed it up with a Gold Glove the following season before injuries derailed his career. As a superb defender who is still only 30-years old, Gutierrez might be worth taking a flyer on to see if he can resurrect his career.
