The Madden NFL 2004 soundtrack was STACKED. With Michael Vick as it’s cover boy, the game fittingly featured a catalog full of dirty south ditties by Bubba Sparxxx, Killer Mike and OutKast.
The game also featured a brand new track from pop-punk icons blink-182 called “Action” off of their upcoming self titled album. However, when the song was dropped as a single in October of 2003, it was renamed “Feeling This,” which is how it appeared on the eventual album release.
EA Sports also took popular releases from Bone Crusher and the Legendary Roots Crew and reworked them into football themed “Madden Mixes” with “Never Scared” and “Rock You”
I’m a football player noooooowwwwwww!!!!! Finally, the 2004 edition featured perhaps the most iconic song in the franchise’s history with The Federation’s “Mayhem (Madden Remix).” The song that boasts “If I was on offense I would be a Packer, but I’m on defense so I am a tackler” elicited WTF reactions from gamers upon the first time hearing the track and truly left football fans asking, “Damn, son. Where’d you find this?”
