Bill Swift, World Series Baseball ’95
While not completely decipherable, the pitcher pictured in the cover above is believed to be Bill Swift. If this is indeed the case, WTF? Swift finished second in Cy Young voting in 1993 by going 21-8, a year after leading the National League in ERA with a stingy 2.08 mark. However, Swift never came close to ever approaching those numbers again in his career. Swift would only record double digit wins one more time in his career post-World Series Baseball cover fame as he bounced around between San Francisco, Colorado and Seattle before calling it a quits after the 1998 season.
