Although Stephen Curry’s head was the main concern after the Warriors franchise guard took a scary spill during Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, Steph’s body also took a beating from the fall.
So, while Curry fully expects to “be impactful” and play his usual amount of minutes on Wednesday night, he will play with something that he says that he has never used before; a protective shooting sleeve. Steph will wear the sleeve on his right arm, which is on side of Curry’s body that took the brunt of his Game 4 spill.
“It’s just the impact of the fall,” Curry said. “My whole right side took the brunt of that force, and my head. It’s basically like a bruise all the way up and down your body that you’ve just got to deal with.”
Curry spoke with reporters about his new accessory and he didn’t seem concerned about it affecting his shot:
“Shot pretty well with it just now,” Curry said. “I don’t wear them ever, so it takes a little time to get used to.”
Even if Curry’s shot is a tad off, the Warriors have proven that they’re deep enough to go toe-to-toe with any team in the league. And if worst comes to worst, the Warriors can rest assured that Lil B will be in attendance to root for the home team and maybe get under the skin of James Harden.
