North Carolina State’s sophomore cornerback David Amerson broke the single season ACC interception record with 13 picks. In Tuesday night’s Belk Bowl against Louisville, he had two INT’s, including this Ed Reed like pick six.
The sophomore broke former Tarheel standout Dre Bly’s record of 11. When asked about Bly, Amerson had this to say:
“I don’t know much about (Bly), but I hear a lot about him,” Amerson said. “I heard he was pretty good and he did this as a freshman, so that speaks for itself. … It’s really an honor for me. Coming into this season I wasn’t thinking about that.”
