In case you missed it over the weekend, a dumb non-story leaked from ESPN “sources”, claiming the Knicks and Clippers were discussing a superstar swap involving Carmelo Anthony and Blake Griffin. To anyone with half a brain, such a trade made no sense — and both camps supposedly involved agreed. Clippers coach Doc Rivers called out ESPN — and, by association, “Mr. Sources Say” himself, Chris Broussard — claiming the report was “stupid”. Carmelo Anthony also weighed in, calling the whole idea “silly”.
Still, Broussard stuck to his guns on Monday:

Broussard’s stick-to-it-iveness inspired TNT’s Steve Kerr to report breaking news from his own “sources” on Monday afternoon:
Sources with knowledge of my family’s thinking say that we will have chicken for dinner tonight.

Sources who were not authorized to speak publicly on the subject have confirmed that the chicken will indeed be grilled tonight, not fried.
