Sunday night’s International Champions Cup match between the New York Red Bulls and S.L. Benfica featured one of the oddest free kick attempts you will ever see. During the 45th minute, New York’s Karl Ouimette passed the ball back to goalkeeper Luis Robles, who picked it up with his hands, thus prompting a whistle and giving Benfica a free kick from about six yards yards away.
