Just a few months ago, billionaire Elon Musk claimed that he would not donate money to either Donald Trump or Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential election. But apparently, that is not actually the case.

Back in March, Elon Musk emphatically claimed that he would not be financially supporting either candidate in the upcoming presidential election.

β€œJust to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President,” Musk said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

However, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Musk will actually be donating a pretty massive sum of money to help the Donald Trump campaign, providing $45 million a month to a new pro-Trump super PAC.

“Elon Musk has said he plans to commit around $45 million a month to a new super political-action committee backing former President Donald Trump’s presidential run, according to people familiar with the matter,” the Wall Street Journal reported this week.

Needless to say, this apparent dishonesty from Musk led to a lot of reactions on social media.

Musk publicly endorsed Trump this weekend, and it sounds like he is now supporting him financially, as well.
