After racking up 10 points (five goals and five assists) a Beer League hockey game in Buffalo this week, Chicago Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane took some time to snap photos with fans. One of those fans was a young boy who appeared to be a bit conflicted in his allegiances, as he was wearing a Blackhawks hat along with a St. Louis Blues shirt.
The two teams are division rivals and met in the first round of the playoffs this past season, when Kane’s Blackhawks came out on top and were able to advance through after six games.
But just because Chicago has seen more success than St. Louis in recent years doesn’t mean that Kane wants to associate himself with the enemy. That’s why Kaner took all the necessary procedures to make sure the kid’s Blues shirt was sensored before this picture was taken.
And a word of advice for this kid: Next time, just pick a side. It makes life easier for everyone.
