Corey Perry is on quite the hot streak for the Anaheim Ducks. Captain Duck has managed to score a goal in six straight games, including two on Monday night in a 5-2 win against the Islanders.
Perry’s first goal against the Isle came in spectacular, jaw-dropping fashion after he managed to deke around a defender before getting tripped. After getting tripped up, Perry picked his spot and scored from his knees with just 1.7 seconds remaining on the clock in the second period.
It was one of the more impressive highlights we’ve seen in the NHL this season; check out the GIFs below.
Perry would go on to add another tally in the third period, bringing his season total to 20 this year. He’s currently tied for second in the league in goals (just two behind Alex Ovechkin) and officially has the sixth 20-goal season of his career.
