Montreal Canadiens forward Brandon Prust has been known to get under the skin of opposing teams time and again, and it’s pretty safe to say he did that (and more) on Monday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
During the second period in Tampa, Prust laid a very solid body check on Ben Bishop, the Lightning starting goalie, as he tried to play a loose puck behind the net.
In case your hockey knowledge is a little rusty, you are most definitely not allowed to do that.
Bishop’s teammates quickly came to his defense and got physical with Prust, who was ultimately sent to the box with a two minute minor for goaltender interference. That classification might be a bit generous.
