In the final moments of the Canadiens’ blowout Game 6 victory against the Bruins in Montreal, Habs defenseman Andrei Markov became the latest player in this year’s playoffs to inflict harm on another’s genital area. After tripping Zdeno Chara and being confronted by the Bruins captain, Markov stuck his stick between Chara’s legs and speared him in the groin – something we’ve seen quite a bit of this postseason.
As you can imagine, Chara wasn’t very pleased and the incident sparked a huge scrum that wound up sending several players – including Chara – to the locker room for early showers.
These playoffs have been pretty nutty…
