Odell Beckham Jr.’s fame and notoriety continue to rise, but when he’s not recreating “The Catch” nude for ESPN’s body issue, he’s legitimately putting in real work in preparation for next season. This time, it’s catching balls spit out from a machine while lying down — some of them one-handed. He also doesn’t flinch during any of the catches (which he doesn’t fail to mention).
You only get to see plays like “The Catch,” maybe once a season if you’re lucky. But it’s not unreasonable to say Beckham won’t have another catch or two like this in his NFL career. It’s easy to dismiss a jumping, one-handed catch as amazing as Beckham’s to luck, but he also practices catching passes like that on a regular basis.
Check out this video of Beckham making one-handed catches during warm up.
All of Beckham’s ridiculousness aside, there’s a reason why he was NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
