After recently revealing their rankings for top rookies in Madden 16, EA Sports has unveiled the Madden franchise’s top running backs for the latest iteration of the game.
At a 96 overall rating, Marshawn Lynch gets the honor of being Madden 16’s top running back. Beast Mode unsurprisingly comes with a 99 stiff arm rating and a 98 trucking rating because, well, he’s Marshawn Lynch and that’s what he does. Sadly, there was no rating given for crotch grab celebrations or we’re sure that Lynch’s overall rating would have been even higher.
Marshawn barely edged out Adrian Peterson, who came in second with a 95 rating. Jamaal Charles, DeMarco Murray and Le’Veon Bell all tied for third with ratings of 94 a piece.
While Lynch only received a one point bump from his score of 95 in Madden NFL 15, it was enough to propel him from a tie for fourth-best running back in Madden NFL 15 to the best running back in Madden NFL 16.
