Kanye West and Taylor Swift have had a widely reported feud for years stemming from the time West took the microphone from her at the MTV Video Music Awards during her acceptance speech. But contrary to a report from former NFL receiver Brandon Marshall, it does not seem that the feud resulted in Swift having West kicked out of the Super Bowl.
On Tuesday, Brandon Marshall told an insane story where he claimed that Taylor Swift had Kanye West removed from the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
“So Kanye West pulls up to the Super Bowl,” Marshall said on his podcast according to the New York Post. “Kanye West buys a ticket right in front of Katy Perry’s booth so anytime they are gonna be showing Katy Perry, Kanye’s face was going to be there — he had a mask on with his logo on the mask.” (Marshall corrected himself to say he meant Taylor Swift, not Katy Perry.)
“So Taylor Swift gets pissed off [and] she makes a call or two — everybody is involved — [and] he gets kicked out the stadium,” Marshall said.
But Kanye West has firmly refuted this story.
“This is a completely fabricated rumor. It is not true,” a spokesperson for Kanye West told TMZ.
It’s not clear why Marshall claimed this was true given several obvious holes in the story, but West seems to have shut it down pretty firmly.
