According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, the Cowboys are actually considering bringing in Brian Urlacher to help replace the recently injured Sean Lee at linebacker.
This move just screams Jerry Jones. In other words, it would be a pretty awful decision.
For those who didn’t watch Urlacher in 2012 — his last season — he might have been the worst defender on that Bears team. According to Pro Football Focus, he was the absolute worst on the team, grading out with a -11.3 overall score on the season.
It is also hard to imagine Urlacher coming back for minimal pay. Remember, the Bears offered him a (small) contract before the 2013 season. He turned it down.
Instead, he was able to land a role as Bane in the last installment of the Dark Knight Trilogy.
Kidding. Anyways, don’t sign him, Jerry.
