Owners of Davante Adams
Another little-owned wide receiver, Packers rookie Davante Adams snagged five balls on seven targets in the Packers Week 2 win over the Jets and unofficially took over the No. 3 WR slot from a popular fantasy sleeper in Jarrett Boykin. The former Fresno State Bulldog was scooped up in many leagues, with some owners even starting in Weeks 3 and 4.
He only managed two catches for a paltry 18 yards in their win in Chicago on Sunday, but it was one catch that did not make the box score that had owners furious. Aaron Rodgers somehow eluded a bevy of Bears defenders and hurled a miraculous 34-yard touchdown to Adams in the third quarter, one that would have been his first career score and vaulted him into fantasy relevance.
Unfortunately for him, another rookie, center Corey Linsley, committed a foolish holding penalty on Jon Bostic, who was running himself out the play anyway. Owners that started Adams were rolling some unattractively aggressive dice therefore they didn’t technically get screwed with the non-TD but Linsley’s poor flag cost a couple owners a win in Week 4.
