The Miami Dolphins, Alshon Jeffery’s opponent in Week 7, have a top ten fantasy football defense against wide receivers therefore owners could not have been expecting a 20-plus point effort but nine receiving yards?
Jeffery received the same number of targets (seven) on Sunday that he did a week earlier in which he hauled in five catches for 136 yards against the Falcons. Unfortunately for him, Jay Cutler actually threw all of those seven Week 6 throws in the catchable vicinity of the 3rd-year wide receiver. As a must-start in all fantasy leagues, owners were furious that he only came away with two catches for a pathetic nine yards. Miami’s DBs played him tight downfield all afternoon but half of the dynamic Marshall-Jeffery duo must do better on seven targets.
