Owners of Both Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller
Many fantasy owners cannot chose between Bills running backs C.J. Spiller or Fred Jackson therefore they selected both hoping to catch lightning with one in a historically RB friendly offense. As if those owners weren’t frustrated enough with their mediocre production (812 total yards and three touchdowns entering Week 7), they both went down with significant injuries in the 17-16 win over Minnesota.
While Buffalo placed the designated to return tag on Spiller with a broken collarbone, the projections are not good and he may not be fully healthy until the fantasy season is wrapping up. Jackson will not require surgery on a nasty groin injury and vows to come back before the typical 4-week timetable but recent history shows that RBs with similar injuries take 5-plus weeks to return.
Losing one RB can be devastating, but losing two, likely ones that represent 2/3 of your top RBs, can spell the end of your fantasy football season.
