The Chicago Bears are in need of a new head coach after firing Matt Eberflus earlier this season, and it sounds like they are targeting one of the top coaches on the market.
According to a report from Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald, the Chicago Bears are set to interview former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel on Tuesday.
Vrabel is widely considered one of the top available coaches on the market.
After leading the Titans to three straight trips to the postseason from 2019 to 2021 as well as a trip to the AFC Championship Game, Vrabel was fired after the 2023 season after missing the playoffs in back-to-back seasons.
Vrabel took the year off from coaching this season as he served in an advisory role with the Cleveland Browns.
In addition to his interview with the Bears, Vrabel has also already interviewed with the New York Jets for their opening, as well, and Albert Breer of SI.com reports that the New Orleans Saints are moving forward with trying to interview Vrabel as well.
Vrabel has also been linked with the head coaching vacancy for the New England Patriots due to his time playing for the Patriots under head coach Bill Belichick, though he does not have an interview scheduled.
We’ll have to see where Vrabel ultimately lands.
