New York Jets star quarterback Aaron Rodgers is going into his 20th season in the NFL as we approach the 2024-25 season. And with that comes both a ton of experience, and seemingly being the butt-end of some jokes from his teammates.
Jets star defensive lineman Quinnen Williams spoke to reporters on Wednesday, where he was told that this would be Rodgers’ 20th season in the league.
Williams was completely taken aback by this and then referenced how Rodgers has been in the NFL for as long as Jets draft pick Braelon Allen has been alive with pure amazement in his voice.
“20 years? I ain’t know that. 20 years in the NFL? Man, ain’t our running back, the number 0, 20 years old? So he’s been in the NFL as long as he’s been alive. That’s crazy huh, I got to joke with him about that.”

Rodgers did spend the first three seasons of his career on the bench for the Green Bay Packers sitting behind Brett Favre. So he actually has less game-action than his 20 years in the NFL would suggest.
But still, it is fascinating how Rodgers has been able to play at such a high level for as long as he has.
With that being said, there is an argument to be made that Rodgers’ age could be catching up with him a bit. Last season, Rodgers of course suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in the first game of the season.
Rodgers will look to prove that narrative wrong this coming season. And hopefully, NFL fans get to see at least one more season of vintage Aaron Rodgers on the football field.
