This was not a joke, even though the title definitely sounds like it is an Onion article. During the Thanksgiving Day game between Mississippi State and Ole Miss the Bullldogs’ mascot (named Bully) was nailed by an ESPN TV cart and needed to be stretchered off the field. The young man who was in the mascot costume apparently suffered a compound fracture and had surgery on Thursday night to repair the injury.
