According to multiple reports, Charlie Strong told Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich on Saturday night that he’s leaving to take the job as the next football coach at the University of Texas.
ESPN reports that there will be a press conference on Sunday or Monday to officially announce the hire. Strong is expected to sign a deal worth $25 million over 5 years.
Some of the current Louisville players however were irked by the fact that they learned their coach is leaving via the same channel as the rest of us…social media.
