Division-II cheerleading is a vicious activity that can produce some heated conflicts. At least that was the case during an SIAC Basketball Tournament game between Albany State and Tuskegee this week as ladies from both teams engaged in a serious brawl during halftime.

As the conference and schools sort out the bizarre mess, it remains unclear what prompted the fight. The SIAC released the following statement:
The obligation to observe basic principles of sportsmanship and fair play extends to all participants at the SIAC basketball tournament. As a consequence of the incident on Tuesday, the cheerleading and dance teams from both Albany State University and Tuskegee University will not be permitted to participate in our tournament for the remainder of the week.
Tuskegee would end up winning the game but it appears that people were far more interested in the fight than the actual basketball game.
