Jameis Winston might have loads of critics but he also has one massive fan that will miss him dearly. The highly criticized Florida State quarterback will depart Tallahassee this year to pursue his NFL career, one that will surely be littered with constant questions and dissections into his character by anyone and everyone. As he leaves behind a ton of friends and memories, one might stick out a little more than others.
Payton Poulin, a 20-year-old diehard Seminoles fan has not missed a practice in over two years. The young man that suffers from schizencephaly, a rare birth defect almost identical to cerebral palsy, has brought inspiration to the entire FSU team over the last couple years. He even managed to walk 40 yards with the help of a few players two weeks ago after practice.
Following Winston’s announcement that he will leave for the NFL, Poulin posted an incredibly emotional message on Instagram, thanking the Heisman-winning QB for everything:
You are a brother for life now. Thank you for being so goofy at practice and making me laugh. Thank you for loving and caring for me like a brother. Thank you for being one of our leaders in our family. Thank you for helping me through that 40 yards dash. Thank you for everything Jameis, we love you! #Nolefamily #Nolesforever A photo posted by Payton Poulin (@encyclopediaoffaith) on Jan 1, 2015 at 4:09pm PST
