As the 2012 football season is rapidly approaching I am starting to compile cards of all this years rookie players. Above is a signed insert card of Brandon Weeden that I pulled a few days ago after buying the complete 2012 Upper Deck NFL football set. Despite, Weeden being an irregularly old QB for this stage in his career I don’t really think that is relevant right now. Weeden, rose up the charts during the draft process becoming the next best option at QB after Luck and Griffin and has proved able to hurl the rock in pressure cooker situations. In my opinion Weeden has all the tools to succeed. Maturity, size and composure are all strengths Weeden, a QB that led Oklahoma to an (11-1) record last year and completed 379/522 passes for 4,328 yards.
The Browns posted a (4-12) record this past season and the organization is looking to win now. Running back Trent Richardson will provide Cleveland an instant weapon on the ground with his mixture of stout toughness and elusive moves. Colt McCoy, has proved to be a disappointment thus far so therefore coaching staff will be looking for any reason to start Weeden. In my opinion the earlier the better however these next few weeks the competition will be open. Let the QB battle begin!
