Nik Stauskas’ accidental nickname Sauce Castillo has taken on a life of its own and now the Sacramento Kings plan to honor Stauskas’ spicy nickname.
Stauskas earned the amazing nickname during a game last month, where the broadcast’s closed captioning kept referring to Stauskas as “Sauce Castillo.”

Now that Stauskas owns the best nickname on the team (and that is no easy feat considering the Kings also employ DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins), the Kings will hold a Sauce Castillo night on April 5th when Sacramento plays against the Utah Jazz.
Fans who attend the game will have the option of buying some special Sauce Castillo apparel. Even better, the team will also give away Sauce Castillo hot sauce to each person who makes it to Sleep Train Arena on the 5th. The Kings also promise that there will be “saucy fun all game long.”
The Legend of Sauce Castillo continues to grow.
