Markelle Fultz and his former shooting coach Drew Hanlen’s relationship has soured so much, it’s reportedly got to the point where the two are no longer on speaking terms.
Alex Kennedy of Hoopshype reported after the two trained this summer, their relationship deteriorated within the last three weeks.
Markelle Fultz and Drew Hanlen are no longer working together or on speaking terms, according to league sources. No word on why the two parted ways, but their relationship deteriorated about three weeks ago. Prior to this falling out, Fultz spent the summer training with Hanlen.

Keep in mind just over a week ago, Hanlen tweeted and deleted remarks suggesting Fultz was still injured. Kennedy’s report also came out within minutes after Fultz shot one of the ugliest free throws you’ll ever see.

Fultz shooting has improved early this season, but it’s not like he had to cross a high bar to do so. In 15 games, Fultz is shooting 42 percent from the floor, 30 percent from three and 57 percent from the line – pedestrian numbers for anyone else.
Fultz shot is still broke. Without Hanlen by his side to help him regain his previous form, I wouldn’t expect a change anytime soon. It’s a bummer because Fultz has tremendous potential. Hopefully, he can still figure it out.
