Rihanna took to Instagram last week after Matt Barnes insinuated that the two may be dating. Apparently Rihanna kind of likes the bad boy type.
The new small forward for the Memphis Grizzlies didn’t like that his girlfriend (or imaginary girlfriend) denied ever meeting the former-Clipper on The Jim Rome Show. He never said she was lying (maybe to save her feelings), but he did say that he has no motive to lie to anyone. Translated by Sports Illustrated:
“You live and you learn. When you’re in a situation like this and, you know, you just learn. You just got to keep stuff to yourself obviously. But the way I’m putting it right now, I’m too grown to lie, you know what I mean. It is what it is, I’m going to let this blow by like everything else blows by.”
What Barnes said isn’t exactly true. His motive to lie about dating Rihanna could be fame after he’s done with basketball after all. Glen Davis says she should date Barnes though.
