Sacramento Kings guard Isaiah Thomas has no relation to Isiah Thomas, the former Detroit Pistons great, other than the fact that the former was named after the latter…albeit with an extra ‘A.’
After ESPN aired a fantastic 30 for 30 about the elder Thomas and the ’80s “Bad Boys” in Detroit, some people tweeted at the young Kings guard thinking he was the son of Isiah. It appears that this happens to the kid quite a lot.
But Isaiah decided to respond to one of confused fans, and it was pretty hilarious:
