As reported by RadarOnline.com earlier today, the majority owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, Jerry Buss, is currently in the hospital again due to his ongoing battle with cancer. No one has confirmed the report that Buss may be in grave condition, but the LA Times did confirm he is in the hospital.
Jerry is reportedly being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and is surrounded by family and loved ones.
He was recently inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame for all of his contributions to the world of sports throughout his years in the business. Jerry purchased the Lakers in 1979 and has been the driving force in a massive 10 NBA Championships in the last 33 years. He is widely known for doing whatever it took to provide the city of Los Angeles with an NBA franchise that is consistently competitive, while providing endless entertainment for the fans in the same motion. Without Jerry, there was no “Showtime” Lakers era. He will go down as one of the most prominent owners in sports history.
Our prayers and thoughts here at Cosby Sweaters go out to Jerry, his family, friends and all associated with The Los Angeles Lakers organization.
