James Harden and the Rockets were half-expecting game 1 against the CP3-less Clippers to be a joke. And then Blake Griffin came to Houston and demolished everything in sight.
Griffin recorded his second consecutive triple double and third of the playoffs with 26 points, 14 rebounds, and 13 assists in 40 minutes of action. He was even faking behind-the-back passes at one point in the game to score over a helpless Harden.
If the Clippers want a shot at beating the Rockets with that guy that looks like Doc Rivers running the point, Blake’s going to have to put up a lot more triple doubles this series.
