Earlier today, the Cleveland Cavaliers announced that center Andrew Bynum has been suspended indefinitely due to “conduct detrimental to the team”. As with most of these types of suspensions, we don’t know exactly what that conduct is, but an insider claims that Bynum hasn’t bought into what the Cavaliers are trying to accomplish — in all fairness to Bynum, we have no idea exactly what the Cavaliers are “trying to accomplish” these days, either — and has become a negative influence on the team.
Still, the show must go on in Cleveland, and that show includes a scheduled promotion for Sunday’s home game (as in, tomorrow, Sunday) against the Golden State Warriors, where lucky 14-and-under Cavs fans will receive Andrew Bynum fatheads — detrimental conduct sold separately. However, with the news of Bynum’s suspension, coupled with the fact he’s on a mostly non-guaranteed contract (he’s only owed $6 million) that the Cavs can opt out of on January 7th, Andrew Bynum Fathead Giveaway Night may soon have a sequel: Andrew Bynum Giveaway Night.
