This is a post about catcher Willians Astudillo, a guy we don’t know much about.
We know he’s 26 and a well-traveled career minor leaguer that is currently in the Minnesota Twins’ camp.
And we know he has the ability to make insane NO-LOOK pickoff throws, because he showed off that skill during the Twins’ Grapefruit League game against the New York Yankees on Monday night.
As the Yankees’ Greg Bird fell across the plate following a swing and miss, Astudillo stared back at the pitcher and casually threw a no-look strike to pick off Shane Robinson at first base.
No-look pickoff? This is crazy! 😱 pic.twitter.com/8LCb1Mx0JM

Yes, it’s a meaningless exhibition game, but that will be one of the most incredible plays we see this baseball season. Very well done by Astudillo.
