Giancarlo Stanton is now freed from the shackles of frugal and “unprofessional, circus” ownership after waiving his no-trade clause to join the New York Yankees, and how did he celebrate the news? By having a raging party with 2 Chainz of course, because wouldn’t we all do that if we were just traded by the Marlins?
Stanton appeared at the Rockwell x 10AK Art Basel concert in Miami on Saturday less than 24 hours after the news of the trade broke, and he showed up and showed out in his farewell to Miami. He got the requisite love from the crowd, and some very expensive champagne to go with it, inevitably celebrating the fact he won’t have to play on the Marlins or for Derek Jeter anymore.
Get traded from the Marlins, actually be on a competitive and storied baseball team for once and then party to celebrate. Life’s pretty good for Giancarlo Stanton right now, isn’t it?
