3. Mat Latos – CIN – Latos is a notorious slow starter, and this year he’s off to a 4-0 start with a 2.47 ERA. After a terrible April in 2012, Latos bounced back and finished with respectable numbers. This year, he’s more than making up for his poor start. Latos isn’t quite there with Zimmerman and Wainwright, but he’s proving to the league that he has ace-type stuff.
