On Friday, ESPN reporter and possible omniscient spirit Adam Schefter was briefly faced with a nightmare scenario. All of his devices that he uses to presumably field calls from every person connected to the NFL were deactivated.
Yes, it appeared as though Schefter had been let go by his ESPN. Obviously, this was not the case as Schefter is some sort of magical wizard when it comes to breaking NFL news. ESPN Senior Producer Seth Markman clarified the air on Twitter.
Sources: Someone at ESPN "accidentally" placed @AdamSchefter on the terminated list. Devices have been deactivated. Looking for suspects

Schefter was able to get on Twitter and announce that he was OK, and gainfully employed. It seems that the “accident” is only going to cost him a few hours as IT works on activating all of Schefter’s phones and his laptop.
Been through this before. Not any easier to take 2nd time around. Do want to thank all the great people at ESPN. https://t.co/vI4j6mDObm

IT just told me HR confirmed to them that I have not been fired (whew). Now they need to figure out how to re-activate my Iphones and laptop

Hopefully, this is all sorted right away because the NFL season is starting soon and the world needs its Schefter reports.
