Back in 2004, Nike made a retro Air Jordan 7 to coincide with that year’s Summer Olympic Games. Called the Air Jordan 7 “Olympic,” the shoe featured a red, white and blue motif along with gold accents.
However, each player who was signed under Jordan Brand who played for the US Olympic basketball team also got their very own player exclusive of the Air Jordan 7 “Olympic” with a special insignia on the heel.
Ray Allen got a pair that had “Ray” on it. Michael Finley’s had “Fin.” Carmelo Anthony’s had “Melo” sewn onto his and Jason Kidd had a “K” logo to go with the number 5.
Each shoe was made specifically for the Jordan Brand Olympic team members and they were only made in each player’s size. They were never made available to the public.
So, finding a complete set of these things should be close to impossible. However, there’s an eBay auction happening right now which improbably has each of the four Air Jordan 7 “Olympic” PEs. The only catch?
The seller is asking for $45,234.52. But hey, you get free shipping at least.
