Entering the season, the Philadelphia 76ers had a plan: dump as many NBA-caliber players as possible and lose more games than any other team. Thanks to the New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves, the latter half of that plan is no certainty. Nearly halfway through the season, the 76ers aren’t the worst team in the NBA, but at 7-30, they’re close enough to keep pace for the best odds at snagging the #1 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.
While the on-court product has been a painful experience over the last two seasons, fans like Eric Negron know there’s (hopefully) a payoff down the road. As such, Negron is showing his support for general manager Sam Hinkie by rocking this custom knit 76ers tank hat he commissioned from one of his co-workers.
He won’t win any style points, but the 76ers can feel good knowing at least some fans aren’t shy about hopping on board the tank train.
