Do you live in the Laguna Beach, CA area? If not, do you adore Teemu Selanne so much that you would commute across country to work as a server at Selanne Steak Tavern? If you answered yes to either one of these questions, you should make your way over to Selanne Steak Tavern’s official site and apply for a job.

Every offseason there is talk about whether or not the Finnish Flash will hang up the skates and begin his second career. While we still don’t know if Teemu will play again next year, we do know what his second career will be.

Selanne’s is an upscale neighborhood tavern featuring chef-driven comfort food, small plates and tavern appetizers as well as offering a traditional upscale steak house menu.  Order the best burger in town, choose from numerous craft beers, enjoy a specialty cocktail, or choose a great wine from our extensive list.   Our steaks are the best in Laguna Beach, and we feature our prime New York and Tomahawk Ribeye, as well as other classic steak favorites.  Enjoy your dining experience in a charming, historical Laguna Beach home built in 1934, which includes several distinctive venues – our comfortable downstairs tavern, our outdoor patio right on Pacific Coast Highway, our  Wine Room, or the upstairs steakhouse – known as “Bob’s Room” – the original room that current building owner Bob French called his bedroom as a boy growing up in Laguna Beach in the 1930’s

History

Established in 2013

Selanne’s will open in the Summer of 2013 and is named after owner Teemu Selanne, future NHL Hall of Famer and current Anaheim Ducks player.

Despite not being open yet, someone has already reviewed the restaurant for Yelp!, giving it five stars and calling it the best restaurant of all-time.

 6/17/2013 First to Review

Teemu’s Steakhouse is the best restaurant of all-time.

The food is panty-dropping good.

The servers work hard in the corners and rarely take shifts off.

The waitresses are so fast you could call them the Finnish Flash!
