On Black Friday last week, Taylor Swift released her much-anticipated book commemorating her record-breaking Eras Tour. But unfortunately, her self-published $40 book was riddled with mistakes and left fans disappointed.

The book officially went on sale on Black Friday last week and was sold exclusively at Target stores in the United States. But shortly after the book hit the shelves, fans began to take to social media to point out some flaws and mistakes with their books.

According to the Daily Mail, fans complained that the concert date index page there is a missing tour date for Toronto and some of Taylor’s concert outfits were sketched in the wrong color or were never actually worn on stage. The book also promised to include “never-before-seen performance photos from every era,” but fans pointed out that many of those “photos” were actually freeze-frames from the “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” – a live performance that was filmed in Los Angeles and released in movie theatres across the country last year.

Additionally, fans reported numerous grammatical inaccuracies and typos and one fan even revealed that her book was printed upside down – though she couldn’t tell before she purchased it since all of the books come in a plastic covering to prevent fans from previewing the book without purchasing it.

In a now-viral TikTok video, one Taylor Swift fan by the name of Emma offered a particularly scathing review of the book, expressing how “disappointed” she was in the final product.

“When I got home and starting flicking through the book I was actually blown away by the amount of grammatical mistakes, so many in fact that I am seriously questioning if this book was even edited,” Emma said in her video. “If there are certain spelling mistakes that are really distracting it really takes me out of the reading experience and I really really felt that with this book”

“If you are paying $40 for a book wouldn’t you expect it to not have this many errors? Wouldn’t you expect the pictures to not be cut off? Wouldn’t you expect the pictures to be crisp and clean and not blurry?” she continued. “I don’t know what happened, I don’t know if they were on a deadline or what. The grammatical problems that I have found should have been fixed right away.”

To make matters worse, the book is published by Swift herself.

The pop sensation started her own publishing company by the name of Taylor Swift Publications for this project.

So all of the errors in the book ultimately fall back on her.

Clearly, this is not a good look for the pop superstar.
