Singer/rapper Pitbull may be one of the oddest cultural phenomena the world has but he continues to make people happy. He makes infectious songs for everyone to here. He is apparently also a very good guy.
He has apparently lent his private jet so that it can be used to pick up cancer patients in disaster-ravaged Puerto Rico. This is so those people can continue their treatment here in the continental United States.
Gracias al cantante @pitbull x prestar avión privado para trasladar pacientes de cáncer de PR a USA para q puedan tomar quimio @DeptSaludPR

“Thanks to singer @pitbull for lending private plane to transfer cancer patients from Puerto Rico to the United States so that they can take their chemo,” tweeted Jenniffer González, congresswoman for Puerto Rico.
When news outlets reached out to Pitbull through a spokesman he said, “Thank God we’re blessed to help. Just doing my part.”
CNN had the latest update on the status of Puerto Rico during the day on Tuesday:
Hurricane Maria left Puerto Rico in ruins, with mass power outages and almost half the residents without drinking water. Of the island’s 69 hospitals, only 11 had fuel and power on Tuesday.
At a hospital in San Juan, two people died in an intensive care unit after it ran out of diesel, San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz said. And 12 children continue to depend on generators and batteries to keep ventilators running at San Jorge Children’s Hospital.
The situation is dire and a pop star is coming through for so many. What a story.
