The South Carolina Gamecocks are enduring a nightmarish 2014 season and head coach Steve Spurrier is out of ideas to turn things around. The beleaguered bunch is sitting in fifth place in the very mediocre SEC East and have dropped four of their last five games, leaving them in serious jeopardy of failing to reach bowl eligibility. They sit at 4-5 with games remaining against Florida, South Alabama and Clemson.

I was telling our coaching staff, I think Taylor Swift’s got a song called Shake it Off. Ugh. That’s what we’re trying to do.
