Well, that didn’t take long. Within days of Donald Sterling’s leaked racist rant going viral, and on the same day commissioner Adam Silver banned him from the NBA for life due to those comments, rappers appear to be lining up to vilify the soon-to-be-former Clippers’ owner. First, we have Cassidy — previously best known for (at least, I hope he was best known for) appearing as R. Kelly’s sidekick in the so-2000s-it-hurts “Hotel” — with a Sterling-inspired verse on the track “Move That Dope”.
Next, we have another rapper who nobody has heard from in years, Plies, who too a more straightforward approach with his song title: “Donald Sterling: Racist Muthafucka.”
Now, who is going to be the first rapper to give full props to Adam Silver?
