Have you ever wondered what the totem from Inception would look like if it was a Fidget Spinner instead? Look no further.
In an excellent video from YouTuber Edward Usher, a 2017 version of Inception’s ending is brought to life. Leonardo Dicaprio’s Dom Cobb spins his totem and meets his family after being separated from them for the entire film. Yet, instead of the iconic totem, Usher has replaced it with 2017’s most popular kid’s toy, a Fidget Spinner.
There’s not much more to add, except noting Usher did a great job with the visual effect. Who knows? Maybe if Inception debuted in 2017 instead of 2010, a Fidget Spinner could have replaced the totem prop. That’s an alternate reality I don’t want to be a part of.
With the Fidget Spinner fad slowly fading away, let’s hope this video is the signal of the trend going out on a high note. Inception is awesome – even with the spinners.
