Baylor has come a long way in the past couple of years thanks to the recruiting and coaching mind of head coach Art Briles. The team will look to defend its Big 12 title, the first its won since 1980 and they’ll be well-equipped to do so with the help of quarterback Bryce Petty, a Heisman candidate who put up an outstanding 32 touchdowns and 4,200 yards last season. The team is still full of talent at the running back and wide receiver positions and the Bears should be able to rack up points as long as the offensive line stays healthy. As for the defense, the unit finished in the top 25 last season but they had to replace a fair amount of starters. The secondary and linebacker positions pose the biggest concerns moving forward.
With all of that, Baylor retain good odds at winning the National Championship. The Bears enjoy 24-1 odds to take home the title.
